Summary: In the Ôkôchi National Forest, Fukui Cerasus incisa (Thunb.) Loisel. var.
Prefecture, on the Japan Sea side, central Honshu, kinkiensis (Koidz.) H. Ohba
we found peculiar trees of Cerasus incisa (Thunb.
f. somewake H. Ohba, T. Wakasugi & J.
) Loisel. var. kinkiensis (Koidz.) H. Ohba to have
Matsumoto, f. nov.
color-changeable flowers from white to rose. Owing
to its ornamental value we give a name to them: A typo floribus in colore ab albis ad roseos
forma somewake, which means ‘dyeing into different mutabilibus differt.
