Adviser Dean PREFACE This handbook is the resu lt of an attempt to bring to g eth er certain b its of inform ation which a teacher must have in order to carry on her routine d u tie s. I t aims to c la rify situ a tio n s and to explain procedures used in keeping the necessary records in th e Garvey School D is tric t. No attem pt has been made to include a l l useful inform ation, but only those problems and questions which have caused most concern during the la s t few years have been handled. The handbook w ill be presented to the teachers in loose le a f form so th a t changes may be e asily made. I t is hoped th a t teachers w ill make notes of any help fu l suggestions or co rrectio ns which w ill make the book more useful and turn them in to the o ffice before the end of the year.
