McKinney Homeless Assistance Act, and for other purposes. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresenta- 2 tives ofthe United States ofAmerica in Congress assembled, 3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 4 This Act may be cited as the "Stewart B. McKinney 5 Homeless Assistance Reauthorization Act of 1993". — 2 1 SEC. 2. PRIMARY HEALTH SERVICES FOR HOMELESS CHIL- 2 DREN. 3 Section 340(s)(8) of the Public Health Service Act 4 (42 U.S.C. 256(b)(8)) is amended by striking "1993" and 5 inserting "1994". 6 SEC. 3. COMMUNITY DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS. 7 Section 612(a) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless 8 Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 290aa-3 note) is amended by 9 striking "1993" and inserting "1994". 10 SEC. 4. ADULT EDUCATION ASSISTANCE TO HOMELESS PERSONS. 1 1 12 Section 702(c)(1) of the Stewart B. McKinney Home- 13 less Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11421(c)(1)) is amended 14 by striking "and 1993" and inserting "through 1994". 15 SEC. 5. EDUCATION FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN AND 16 YOUTH. — 17 (a) Authorization of Appropriations. Section 18 722(g)(1) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assist- 19 ance Act (42 U.S.C. 11422(g)(1)) is amended by striking 20 "and 1993" and inserting "through 1994". — 21 (b) Local Educational Agency Grants. Sec- 22 tion 723(b) of such Act (42 U.S.C. 11433(b)) is 23 amended 24 (1) by inserting after the subsection heading — 25 the following: "Authorized activities may include "; 26 (2) by striking paragraph (1); •S 1523 RS — 3 1 (3) in paragraph (2) 2 (A) by striking "(2)" and all that follows 3 in the matter preceding subparagraph (A); and 4 (B) by redesignating subparagraphs (A) 5 through (0) as paragraphs (1) through (15), 6 respectively; and 7 (4) by realigning the margins of paragraphs (1) 8 through (15) (as redesignated by paragraph (3)(B)) 9 so as to align with paragraph (3) of subsection (a). 10 SEC. 6. JOB TRAINING FOR THE HOMELESS. 11 Section 739(a) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless 12 Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11449(a)) is amended by in- 13 serting after paragraph (3), the following new paragraph: 14 "(4) Such sums as may be necessary for fiscal 15 year 1994.". 16 SEC. EMERGENCY COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR THE 7. 17 HOMELESS. 18 Section 754 of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless 19 Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11464) is amended by striking 20 "and 1993" and inserting "1993 and 1994". 21 SEC. 8. FAMILY SUPPORT CENTERS. 22 Section 779 of the Stewart B.
