ISBN: 978-2-87223-251-2 World Congress PIANC/ACP PREFACE This book of abstracts contains 284 abstracts presented at the 34th PIANC World Congress held in Panama, Republic of Panama, from 7 to 11 May 2018. PIANC World Congress presents and discusses topics relevant to the waterborne transport and infrastructure sector. It rotates among PIANC’s member countries every four years and it is open to members and non-members. Participants, have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences. PIANC’s goal is to advance the sustainable development of shallow and deep-draft navigation issues including dredging and dredged material disposal, navigation and pot infrastructure, recreational navigation and related environmental matters. The Book of Abstract is arranged according to the main Themes of the Congress namely: Inland Navigation, Dredging, Logistics & Infrastructure, Ports, Marinas, and Environment. Inside each Theme, the abstracts are arranged by the topics of the Theme.
