The village has a population of around 2,500 and provides many services for its wider surrounding areas. At the centre of the village is The Square, which is dominated by St Michael’s Church. There is a selection of businesses from the local post office, doctors, dentist, butchers, cafés, garden centres, and public houses to name but a few.
