At age 57, she left us too soon after an unexpected battle with cancer. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, Penny is preceded in death by her Winter Music Festival parents Enita Terry Park and Michael Park. She is survived by her partner of 10 years, Chris Nordeen, son Kyle Duyck, daughter Cassy Weatherby, 2020 Florence, Oregon granddaughter Luella Rose Weatherby, sister Jessica Chanay, niece & nephew Raven and Nigel Chanay, step-father Robert Dannemiller, and #FlorenceWinterMusic uncles Jamie & Mark Hartley. Penny’s earliest memories were of playing on the beach in front of FLORENCE EVENTS CENTER ~ JANUARY 24, 25, 26 her home on Whidbey Island, WA where she lived until age 11 when her family moved to Eugene, OR. She had an adventurous spirit and left home after graduating early from South Eugene High School. She headed to Catalina Island, CA with a friend and a few dollars.
