Dear Phoenix Ad Club Members and Guests, On behalf of the Ad Club board, I’d like to thank the entrants and supporters of this year’s local American Advertising Awards (aka The ADDYs), a competition that’s part of the national American Advertising Federation. Each year our show honors excellence in advertising and recognizes the highest creative standards in the industry. In fact, this competition is the largest advertising competition in the nation. This year, we had judges come in from Denver, New York City and Chicago—all of whom boasted stellar credentials. They were especially impressed with the caliber of the design work in our market. After seeing your entries, it made me proud to be part of the Phoenix creative community. After you’ve seen the work in our show tonight, I hope you will be, too. Tonight’s celebration took “many hands” to pull off. Big thanks go out to: Justine Newland, our club executive director, and the glue that held our event planning and execution together Jason Hackett and the crew at HAPI who designed our promotional and event materials Rhonda Rush, our consultant at impact events Michael Jackson, our gala presentation and leave-behind book designer Prisma Graphics, our leave-behind book printer Blue Media, our signage graphics producer Lavidge, for hosting our ADDY judging weekend Bob Giammarco at audioEngine for hosting our ADDY entry drop off event. Sponsors, including the Art Institute of Phoenix, Staffing Strong, Telemundo and Cox Our Phoenix Ad Club Board members and ADDY committee, for all their planning and hard work Now it’s time to get back to work and start creating all that great stuff for next year! Cheers, D.D.
