We are honored to dedicate this yearbook to Ms. Donna Hayward and Mr. Joseph Blake Under Ms. Hayward's leadership, Suffield High School has seen improve ments in student test results across the board. As reported by U.S. News & World Report, Suffield High School student performance on state exit exams and internationally available exams on college-level course work, students at SHS scored 90% Proficient in Math and 94% Proficient in Reading. Among her many accomplish ments, the one that will stay with Suffield forever, is her efforts to bring a much needed renovation to the school's courtyard. Mr. Blake brought his soft-spoken, effective leadership style to our school community. He was named the 2014 Assistant Principal of the Year for the state of Connecticut by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS). From the CAS website: "The program recognizes outstanding school assistant principals who have succeeded in providing high quality learning opportunities for students. These administrators have demonstrated excellent leadership, commitment to staff and students, service to their communities, and contributions to the overall profession of educational leadership." We will miss their guidance and support. YEARBOOK STAFF 2014 The 2014 yearbook staff worked hard this year to create a book that represented the community and all the amazing things that Suffield really stands for. It is an honor for the senior class to be a part of a group that creates this meaningful book which captures the memories throughout the school year. In making the book, we thought about what 2014 means to us: soccer games under the lights, spirit night, Thursday night volleyball, great times with great friends and much more. Although sometimes stressful with all the deadlines and layouts, being a part of the staff was not only an awarding experience, but also allowed everyone to connect. Coming to yearbook class was something to look forward to everyday, and in the end, all the hard work payed off! Congratulations to the Class of 20 14!
