It is designed for the provisionally licensed HOE teacher who has been teaching less than two full years. Module 1 runs concurrently with the Summer Conference, Sunday, July 18 through Thursday, July 22. Module 2 runs from Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30. In Module 1 participants will be given an overview of the North Carolina Technology Education program, including its curriculum, assessment process, and facility design. Professional and student organizations will also be discussed. Participants will develop a summer conference schedule to serve their specific needs and interests. Other foods-related teachers are encouraged to get certified. Participation will make the teacher eligible to become a certified instructor and proctor of ServSafe®. To become a registered instructor/proctor, one must score 75% or higher on the instructor’s exam. July 19-20 is the classroom training, July 20 in the evening is the class review and July 21 is the credentialing exam for teachers.
