Dear Colleagues,

You hold in your hands the updated 2008 Staff Directory. You will notice a few additions and
changes to its contents based on user feedback. In particular, we wish to thank the Office
Managers and Administrative Assistants who support the Executive Team for their thoughtful
comments about how the directory could be improved and for their patience with our
production timeline this year. We are learning how to move farther, faster by focusing on
listening to the voices of our customers and clients, being open to new ideas from inside and
outside OUSD, and working relentlessly to improve our communications capacity.

The most recent version of this directory will always be available on the intranet from the Quick
Links menu. The table of contents includes the name of the document owner so that you can
send updates, corrections, and suggestions to make the directory more effective.

In addition, we believe that the intranet’s searchable staff directory should become the primary
tool that we update and use to find contact information. If you haven’t looked at it recently, you
can search the staff directory on the intranet at http://ems.ousd.k12.ca.us/. While you’re there,
be sure to check your own contact information and update it as needed.
