Some can lead us to a definite ending while others can take us around in circles.Aswechoosedifferentpathsinourlives, teachers appear to inform, advise, and assist us in our exploration. Mr. DeFilipi is one of these guides escorting us along the path of history while leading us into the future. Mr. DeFilipi has dedicated twenty-five years ofhis life to education, fourteen ofthose years have been with us at Enfield High School. Among numerous contributions to our school, Mr. D was the football coach for nine years, advisorforthechess club and authorofthenew fight song. The facts speak for themselves, but the things we love about him most are his unique charac- teristics and passionforlife. How manyteach- ers will ever forget Mr. DeFilipi singing Irish folk songs in the faculty lounge? How many studentswilleverforgethiscrypticclassnotes? No one. Whenwe think ofEnfield High we will always remember the patriot in room 204. Mr. DeFilipi has been the perfect combination of the guide on the side and the sage on the stage. We thankyouforyourcare, concern, and encouragement and we dedicate the 1998 ECHO to you.
