The co-organizer of the Symposium, the Bialowieza National Park, is offering us comprehensive help. The conference hall, hotel, restaurant, and natural history museum (buildings belonging to the Bialowieza National Park) are located in a large, old Palace Park (area 50 ha), which is crossed by the Narewka River (light trapping will be possible). The weather should be fine in June and we can expect temperatures between 20°C-25°C. Programme: Besides lectures and poster sessions, we are planning a one day excursion to the Narew National Park. It will be a good opportunity for nature watching and collecting caddis from some water bodies. We are also organizing a walking trip to the strictly protected area of the Bialowieza National Park. For colleagues who do not wish to walk, we offer two horse-drawn carts. Additionally, we are arranging a post-symposium trip to the north-east part of Poland and Lithuania, an area with a large number of rivers and lakes. We are also planning an attractive programme for accompanying persons. Accommodation: We recommend hotel Iwa in the Palace Park (single room - 120 PLN/person, double room - 60 PLN/person). You can make a reservation through us (please see accommodation forms). This hotel offers good standard and has just been opened after a major renovation. Those who prefer a more luxurious accommodation will be able to find two hotels in the vicinity of the Palace Park (1-2 km): Hotel Zubröwka or Hotel Soplicowo. Please contact these hotels directly following the link available on our main web page. Meals: Iwa hotel's restaurant - "Restauracja Parkowa", examples of prices of meals - breakfast - 30 PLN, lunch - 25 PLN, dinner - 27 PLN. Accommodation and meals can be paid by credit card (they do not accept American Express). Transport: Since there is no international airport close to Bialowieza, you have to arrive in Warsaw. When you reach Warsaw (by plane or train) you will take the train from Warszawa Centralna Station to Hajnöwka (near Siedlce), or you can take the train to the main town of this area, Bialystok, and later a bus from the railway station to Hajnöwka (about 86 km). We will be able to pick up participants from Hajnöwka to Bialowieza (21 km). It might also be possible to organize a bus for participants from Warsaw to Bialowieza (distance 250 km). The price of this mode of transportation will depend on the number of participants wishing to use this service. Please let us know if you wish to use this service. You can also reach Bialowieza by car. Registration fee: for participants is 770 PLN (includes proceedings volume) and 500 PLN for accompanying person. The exchange rate at present is 1 € = 3,50 PLN For more details, please consult our web site www.biol.uni.lodz.pl/trichoptera2009. You will find there the electronic version of the registration form. It is also possible to register on-line. We look forward to seeing you in Bialowieza. ^Koian^via Naiec © Hans Malicky/Austria; download unter www.biologiezentrum.at Registration form Deadline of registration: 15 January 2009 13th International Symposium on Trichoptera Bialowieza, Poland, 22-27 June 2009 First name: Family name: Institution: Address: City: Postal Code: Country: Phone number: E-mail address: Accompanying person(s): Fees: No. attending Type Registration fee (polish Total fees zlotych - PLN) 1 Symposium participant 770 770 Accompanying person(s) 500 Total: Payment (polish zloty only - PLN) should be transfer to: Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A.
