Athanasios Nenes Dear Parish Family, This is the time of the year when we give thanks for all the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us personally, to our families and to our church family. Please join us on Tuesday evening, November 7th, as we celebrate the Great Vespers of our parish’s Feast Day with His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios. On Wednesday, November 8th, we will celebrate the Divine Liturgy of our Feast Day. The following Sunday, November 12th, our Fall General Assembly will take place following the Divine Liturgy. See the agenda on page 5. Please attend and participate. Every ministry should be represented. The business of running our Parish is very important and we need everyone’s input. This general assembly will also be the time to nominate stewards in good standing for the Parish Council. If you have the time and the love for our church, please consider running for the parish council. There is so much to do and we need people like you to help us. Please attend if at all possible. If you have any questions, please speak to any one of the parish council members, Fr. Thanasi or Fr. Nick. Our parish is very active. There are many activities for all of us to enjoy. Greek School, Sunday School and the family nights are very special. It truly is a pleasure to see so many young families participating in the monthly activities of our parish. Please consider having your children participate in the ministries of the church. Most of us have life-long friends from Greek School, Sunday School and GOYA. As we come to the end of yet another year, I ask that each and every one of you consider becoming stewards in good standing. To those who have already fulfilled their pledge thank you. If you have not made a pledge for 2017 or fulfilled your pledge, kindly do so. This assists us in preparing the budget for 2018. Happy Thanksgiving to all and let us all be thankful for all the blessings that we have received. I am truly grateful and humbled to be president of this beautiful parish. May God bless you and your families.
