This study could not have come to fruition without the help, support, and
guidance of highly valued and respected people to whom I much owe. I feel
duty bound to express my words of satisfaction and gratitude to all of them.
First and foremost, I would like to grab the opportunity and express my
most sincere gratitude to my supervisor, Professor Dr. Klaus Dieter Baumann,
who helped and supported me, with cordiality, throughout my stay in Leipzig
University. I was extremely lucky to have Professor Baumann as my supervisor.
I am indebted to him too much for his unwavering support during the time I
was engaged in doing this research. Without his help, steadfastness and advice,
this dissertation would not have been finalized.
Furthermore, I am heartily thankful and express my deepest gratitude to
my advisor, Dr. Hossein Vahid Dastjerdi, of Isfahan University in Iran. His
knowledge and expertise were truly valuable in structuring and shaping this re-
search. His insightful and though provoking feedback encouraged me to bring
my research to a higher level. His guidance, from the very beginning to the end
of this project, inspired me to develop and gain a better understanding of the
subject matter and finalize a more comprehensible research project to present.
