• Letters to a Friend Digitized by the Internet Archive in 2010 with funding from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill http://www.archive.org/details/quaker1997guil Dear friends, Working to bring this volume to you has been exciting, stressful, interesting, tiring, and entertaining. We have all learned a lot- both about the process andaboutyou. There are more things to think aboutandremember than we ever couldhave imagined, buthopefullywe have been able to remember most ofthem and include most ofyou. Over the pastyear, there have been long nights and tough deadlines. We learned that staying up all night in a small room listening to the same radio station is enough to drive anyone crazy, but we seem to have held it all together. From our unique point ofview, it has been fun to watch the community smile and laugh andplay. There were times we wished in retrospect that we could have attended everyparty, game, and event, so that we could have shared the joy found in the pictures which were submitted to us afterwards. We hope thatyou will enjoy looking back over your memories of 996-7 1 with us. This is the first in a series of letters included in the book to allow the spirit of Guilford come through in words as well as pictures. Capturing as much ofyour spirit as possible was our foremost intention. Sincerely, The staffofthe 1996-7 Quaker Letters a to Friend The Quaker Guilford College 1997 w \ V ^ Autumn 10 Winter 72 Spring 132 194 >»!ra Seniors .
