We live in a town with a mall, a town with a school. We live around one tiny scrap of a road that stretches from Maine to Florida. Borders, Hollister, Newbury Comics: we’ve got it all. The parties, the games, it all seems so standard when you think of it now. We walk through our days here, and we hardly ever think of any of this as remotely unique. Yet the lives we’ve led in North Attleboro High are special, they are one of a kind thanks to the offerings of this place. I 2 ^Opening How much have we ignored? What lies beneath what we see every day? And more importantly, what does it mean to live in this town? If our world is defined by what we see and what we buy, does it even matter where we are? Of course it matters where we are. This is our life, our home; this is the world as we’ve known it so far. We’ve seen the best parts of But what have we this time in our lives missed? What do we have that can’t be replaced? We have a high school where great minds meet, where we top the charts in almost everything we do. We have the teachers who care, the award winning teams, and, of course, those tiny, tiny lockers. Don’t run in the halls, especially not without a pass, or you’re sure to get caught. You know a teacher who wore sneakers for that reason alone. Send the freshmen to the third floor pool, herd them into the pit at lunch. Speaking of lunch, enjoy the daily soup, you know the principal does. ^ Opening A long, sleepy trek: the Junior year treat. Wake up early wear your walking shoes. Or better yet, take your time, grab a bagel or :wo, sip some coffee and stroll. Sometimes it’s hard just to get here on lime. We’ve been awfully busy, don’t you think? It’S the little pieces of one enormous puzzle that make us each who we are. North Attleboro is the place where we’ve chanced to gather, a distinct group with disparate designs for our futures.
