Reservations for your copy may be placed with the author: Mrs. Carl Johnson 2109 Skyline Drive Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003 If you find these records to be a help to you, I would appreciate hearing about it. I would like especially to hear from other Powell descendants whom I haven’t contacted previously, thus making our records more complete. Pauly and Jonathan Martin found in the Powell Church records, Indian Grove, MO., who baptized the Powell family: “We have found some information in Early Life and Times in Boone County Indiana, compiled by Harden & Spahr, Lebanon, Ind., 1887. Arice Pauly was a deacon in Pleasant View Church, which was organized in Jefferson Township, Boone County, in 1836 (p. 222- 225). Jonathan Martin was a minister in the Old Union Church, which was organized in 1838 in Jackson Township, Boone County, nine miles southwest of Lebanon, Indiana. Neither of these churches is still active, (1959) according to the Indiana Baptist headquarters office here in Indianapolis. They are sorry that they do not know where or if the old records are still in existence.” Scanned and retyped by Judy Engelke, 6793 Valiant Dr, Windsor WI 53598 [email protected] July 2000 10
