NOTIFICATION
The 27th January 2009
No. 2778—Regn.-3/2009-R. & D. M.—Under the explanation to Section 26 of the Negotiable
Instrument Act, 1881 ( Act XXVI of 1881) , read with Notification No. 20-25-56-Public-I, dated the
8th June 1957 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government of Orissa have
been pleased to order that the 6th February 2009 (Friday) shall be a public holiday within the
meaning of the aforesaid Act for all Banks and other offices (whose holidays are regulated by the
aforesaid Act) located within the following Urban Local Bodies on account of General Election to
these Local Bodies on that date :
1. Cuttack Municipal Corporation
2. Baripada Municipality
