These earbuds provide a user with a tangle-free experience, as there is no wire connecting the left and right earpieces. They are compact and can be carried around in acharging case, making them extremely portable. With such gradual modifications, the mode of consumption of content has also evolved, thus redefining our listening experience with the touch of a button which has multi-functional controls nowadays. The styling and portability of these products have made them popular among the young folks, athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The trend of TWS earphones is catching up in such a way that it has become a big market for companies — handset as well as accessories makers — to rake in moolah. Even when the entire nation is struggling to be on the track in the aftermath of back-to-back lockdowns, the TWS hearables market is growing like never before, thanks to the compulsion of work from home and remote learning, which have become hybrid now. While working professionals used TWS-enabled devices mostly for their meetings, the children in the next room, also relied heavily on them for online classes. The housewives, on the other hand, used such devices to carry on with their conversations with their loved ones. We’ve discussed about this and more in our lead story, especially focusing on today’s youngsters, who believe in leading a fast-paced life and are equally particular about their look and style. While tangible parameters like specifications are essential in setting the expectations of smartphone buyers, the experience is defined by the performance delivered by smartphones after the users start using these devices. As per a recent analysis by Techarc, the top three parameters setting the expectations of smartphone buyers are Specifications, Features and the Performance about which buyers absorb information from various channels including product brochures, reviews, social conversations, family and friends and others. The biggest advantage is the app’s encrypted group communication where users are free to connect and coordinate with a large group of people across many big and small companies. Now, WhatsApp has announced a way where this group’s communications can become smooth and streamlined. WhatsApp is bringing community features to its platform falling in-between robust group chat or a company- wide slack. Users will be able to send messages to the common big group with an option to create smaller subgroups within. Like, the community for any MNC might have distinct subgroups for event organizing, marketing, content management, and others. People would be able to “bring together diverse groups under one canopy with a structure that works for them” using WhatsApp Communities. In this way, users will be able to get all of the information related to a community created around a single issue. WhatsApp Communities, as indicated in the title picture, will bring numerous groups together and allow administrators to deliver messages to all of them at once. Telegram to roll out latest adds support for custom notifications and more With WhatsApp and Instagram bringing more up-to-date features to improve user experience, Telegram couldn’t let it slip from its hands. In early March, the users witnessed some amazing third-party streaming apps along with new download managers from Telegram. Now it has more to offer! With its latest update (version 8.7.0), the popular messaging app is soon to roll out a set of new custom features. It includes mute duration with custom notification sounds, bot improvements, and many more. The custom notification sound will let the users use any short audio clip from any chat to use as a notification alert. The custom notification duration will let the users mute any conversation for a specific duration, like an hour, a day, or even a week. The auto-delete also comes in handy as it’s going to let the users delete any chat in a particular span of time by setting an auto-delete timer. Twitter’s edit feature will let users see tweet history Twitter is constantly working to improve its features, giving users the ease to share their opinions more creatively. Following the same idea, Twitter came up with its long-awaited Edit tweet feature, where users can directly rectify their errors rather than write a whole new tweet. However, there are some strings attached to it. Reportedly, the new edit tweet button is likely to leave a digital trace of the tweet’s history. It is confirmed by the developer Jane Manchun Wong in a tweet that says, “Looks like Twitter's approach to Edit Tweet is immutable, as in, instead of mutating the Tweet text within the same tweet (same ID), it re-creates a new Tweet with the amended content, along with the list of the old Tweets prior to that edit.” App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi also tweeted out screenshots of the new edit button, teasing us with the feature’s possible look when it’s live on Twitter. In one screenshot, Paluzzi shows how the ‘Edit Tweet’ option could appear in the three-dot menu on the right side of your tweets. Netflix adding the “Two Thumbs up” feature Instead of the basic ‘thumbs up’ button that existed previously, Netflix is adding a new ‘two thumbs up’ function for subscribers to express which series and movies they really enjoyed on the platform. The goal is to offer Netflix subscribers greater agency and control over their suggestions while also assisting them in fine-tuning them. The functionality will also aid Netflix in distinguishing between titles that a user just liked and those that they adored and loved. The two thumbs up button will appear right next to the like and dislike button, appearing next to a title. Consider Double Thumbs Up as a way to fine-tune your recommendations to see even more series or films influenced by what you love. A Thumbs Up still lets us know what you liked, so we use this response to make similarrecommendations. But a Double Thumbs Up tells us what you loved and helps us get even more specific with your recommendations. For example, if you loved Bridgerton, you might see even more shows or films starring the cast, or from Shondaland. Epic Games and Lego to build Metaverse for kids following the funding round Following a large investment round, the developer behind the immensely successful Fortnite game has put out its MY MOBILE ambitions for Metaverse growth. Sony, the entertainment powerhouse, and Kirkbi, the parent company of the Lego Group, both contributed $1 billion to the $2 billion capital injection. Epic Games claimed in its April 11 release that the three firms place high importance on both creators and players. They want to develop new forms of social entertainment that explore the intersection of the digital and physical worlds. The news comes only days after Epic announced cooperation with Lego that would see the creation of a Metaverse for children. “As a creative entertainment company, we are thrilled to invest in Epic to deepen our relationship in the metaverse field, a space where creators and users share their time.” said Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President and CEO, Sony Group Corporation. “We are also confident that Epic’s expertise, including their powerful game engine, combined with Sony’s technologies, will accelerate our various efforts such as the development of new digital fan experiences in sports and our virtual production initiatives.” Gmail to come up with more chat icons for Google chat and spaces for Android Gmail for Android is getting a new update that will replace the status bar icons for alerts from Google’s Chat and Spaces services. With Google Hangouts approaching its end of life, this is a new feature that further differentiates the two chat systems. Chat is the company’s primary messaging software, while Spaces is a Slack-like rival for chatting with bigger groups. Before this update, both the icons for the chat and spaces looked the same. Each would display you a message bubble filled in with an empty one behind it. That is no longer the case, and chat will henceforth display only an empty single message bubble. At the moment, we’ve only seen these new status bar icons on a www.mymobileindia.com single Android device running version 2022.02.20.x of Gmail. It’s not yet widely rolled out, while the standalone Google Chat app has yet to be updated. This comes as Gmail for iOS this month will show the Chat sender’s profile photo going forward for improved glanceability. The APIs that allowed developers to implement call recording features into their apps were removed with Android 6 Marshmallow. Additionally, the business disabled the ability to record calls using the microphone. Asa last resort, the corporation is also eliminating Android’s Accessibility APIs. “The Accessibility API is not designed and cannot be requested for remote call audio recording,” Google said on a support page documenting the changes in its Developer Program Policy. However, if you use an app downloaded from the Google Play Store, call recording may not be possible moving forward. As of May 11, Google’s Android mobile operating system will no longer offer recording features in apps.
