Eastondale Angus Annual Bull & Female Sale!
One of the good things about hosting your own bull sale –it sure makes a
long winter shorter as one is always looking forward to the next task at hand,
taking the necessary step and looking after the details to put your work in front
of a group of astute cattlemen! We strongly feel that this set of bulls we assem-
bled this year has made this task very enjoyable.We are positive this is the
deepest in quality and most consistent set of bulls we have ever offered.
We have 4 very strong sire groups all with things to offer. First would be
the Dryland Max 533R sire group, Max continually breeds structurally sound
cattle in a moderate package and they are easy doing on both the male and fe-
male sides. We now have over 30 Max daughters working in our herd with a
very nice set of open heifers to be added in this spring. This will make them
comprising close to a quarter of our herd. They have made and will continue to
make our cowherd stronger. This will be the last set of Max sons available as
Dale, Shelly & Erika Easton he is now currently working in the Curraghdale herd in Ontario.
Next would be a very nice group of sons out of our Main Event herd sire.

EPD’s as they very closely mirror the great calving ease sire, SAV Final Answer.
Email: [email protected] Next would be the Cole Creek Black Cedar 46P sons. This may be the
largest set of Black Cedar sons sold to date in Canada. They may offer a
change in genetics to some that you may have already been using. Black Cedar
46P has met great reviews in Montana and have strong maternal strengths.
Our last large sire group would be out of a Cole Creek Black Cedar 46P
son that we brought up from Montana. “Cedar” as we call him did a very good
job in his first set of bulls with a number of his sons being some of our high
performers!
Again we are proud of the way the bulls are presented. They are fresh yet show their genetic potential. They are free moving, with
great hair and the feet on the bulls look very good as well.
The small group of females we are offering come right out of a group of 60 replacements that were fed together; they were not sorted
off and fed more. The females may be greener than some would like them but they will not have been hurt and will breed well.

KA Black Cedar 290 was brought to Canada in 2011 as a fol-
lowup to AI to his sire. A top cow family secured the deal in
"Cedar" as they have been proflific and successful for Van Dyke
Angus Ranch. Cedar was predominantly and successfully used
on our heifers resulting in top quality herdsire prospects.
The first daughter of Cedar to sell sold as the High Selling Heifer
Calf in the “Touch of Class” Sale at $5100 to Rinas Stock Farm.

We teamed up with Rocking Ox to buy Initiative from the
good herd of Sewall Bros at Patricia, AB. 375 is an impressive
bull with a tremendous ribshape, feet, and muscle on a modest
frame.
This is the first set of calves which isn't a large sire group but
you will hear more of this sire in the future. His dam would rank
as one of the top cows and families in that herd.

Not much left to say on Max that he hasn't already proven
except we think this might be the best set of calves to date. Max
now calls Uxbridge, ON, his home where he spent last summer
leaving this to be his last set of calves here at Eastondale.
