Khayat Scholarship Endowment was established in 1995 to honor the dedicated service ofRobert C. Khayat, a Journal alumnus, professor oflaw, and current Chancellor ofthe University. Each year the Journal awards the Robert C. Khayat scholarshiptoa deservingmember. As ofJune 30, 2007, the corpusofthe endowmentwas $81,696.18. Lastyear the Journal awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00. The Journal intendsto awardlargerscholarships asthe corpus grows. Mississippi Law Journal Endowment The Mississippi Law Journal Endowment exists to ensure the Journal's future financial stability. As ofJune 30, 2007, the corpus ofthe endowment was $349,114.08. Mississippi Law Journal Operating Fund All contributions to the Mississippi Law Journal's operating fund help the Journal to meetits mostimmediateneeds, includingoffice maintenance.
