Currently, she works in the Department of Business Informatics and Ecosystems, Faculty of Management, at Częstochowa University of Technology, Poland. She is the author or co-author of about 90 scientific publications. She has actively participated in more than 30 conferences, mainly international, as well as in a few research projects. She is the editor of the journal Eureka: Social and Humanities, and the edi- tor of selected editions of the Research Bulletin of the Technical University of Częstochowa. She is also a scientific committee member of the Economics, Management and Sustainability Scientific Journal. Anna Brzozowska is a member of the scientific discipline of management and quality science at the Faculty of Management. She is also a member of the habilitation commit- tees established by the Central Commission for degrees and titles. Her research activities are focused on enterprise management processes and the integration chain, its logistics aspects and institutional environment, influencing management in light of integration activities that oscillate around the use and management of EU projects. These issues develop systematically by conducting research, participating in thematic groups and research and development teams as well as through cooperation with business and local and regional authorities. Her main research and study is the broadly defined concept of management in agribusiness and the European Union integration processes; IT in business; managing projects; and organization of management, logistics, and transport processes. Her scientific interests are also focused on the management of organizational culture in the international aspect. She presents this subject matter from the perspective of knowledge and intellectual capital management. She is a reviewer of scientific papers and a promoter of doctoral theses. Dagmara Bubel obtained her PhD in humanities. She is a professor of sciences in economics and the direc- tor of the Main Library of Częstochowa University of Technology. She is an academic teacher teaching courses in science studies. Her interests, in terms of theoretical, empirical and application areas, are concentrated around the issues of intellectual capital management in organizations. As the concept of intellectual capital management regards people as the most valuable potential of an enterprise, directly related to its strategy, in this respect, she con- ducted an analysis of the selected aspects of the func- tioning of small- and medium-sized enterprises. Initially, her scientific studies addressed the problems of the following issues: management in Authors ix organizations and management of knowledge, information and communication, etc. Additionally, the subject of her scientific studies oscillated around logistics manage- ment and management in agribusiness. It should be stressed that the active engage- ment of an organization is one of the most important characteristics of the democratic society, an element that ties and activates the local community. Her research interests were connected with broadly understood restructuring of enterprises, which undergo changes in the aspect of not only material resources, but also intangible ones, i.e., orga- nizational culture. When designing an organization, it is necessary to take into account elements of the structure and the ties that connect them. Decision-making powers and responsibilities are assigned, and then executory processes are formalized. She pre- sented exploitive concepts, such as diagnostic approaches to designing an organization.
