In exercise of the powers delegated by the Nagpur Metro Region Development Authority, vide it’s Resolution
No. 15, dated 6-11-2017 to exercise the power under Section 53 of the Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning Act,
1966. I, Dr. Deepak Mhaisekar, Metropolitan Commissioner, Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority
(NMRDA) under Section 53(8) of the Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning Act, 1966, do hereby empower
Assistant Engineer of Zone Office of Nagpur Metro Region Development Authority to exercise, perform and dis-
charge the power and duties in respect of Section 53 of Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning Act, 1966, subject
to condition and limitation indicated below.
(1) To issue notices for removal of unauthorized construction or change of use of any land :-
(a) Without the permission required under the Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning Act, 1966, or
(b) Which is not in accordance with any permission granted or in contravention of any condition subject to
which such permission has been granted ;
(c) After the permission for development has been duly revoked ; or
(d) In contravention of any permission which has been duly modified.

(2) To take necessary steps including demolition or alternation of any building/structure or work or carrying
out development or other operation or the discontinuance of any use of land or any action of development or
construction in contravention to the sanction Development Control and Promotion Regulation of Nagpur Metropolitan
Area and to recover the amount to any expenses incurred by it in this behalf.
