(Signed) Wainwright Kellogg Lieut. From 4 to 8 A.M. Warm and pleasant. Light airs from S. And W. Received fresh provisions for crew. At 8, sent up topgallant yards. Temp of bunkers 80°. (Signed) J. K. Cogswell Lieut. From 8 to Merid. Clear and pleasant. Light airs from S. and E. first two hours, calling to N. and E. last two hours. At 9.45, commanding officer inspected ship and crew at quarters. Afterwards articles of war were read and crew mustered. Divine Service was read by Commanding Officer. Charlie Green (G.M.) was presented with a good conduct badge by Commanding Officer, it having been forwarded to him by Bureau of Equipment and Recruiting. By order of Commanding Officer, confined John L. King (B. M.) without irons to await trial by Court Martial for being drunk on duty. Temp of bunkers 78°. (Signed) Sam C. Lemly Ensign.
