A commitment to and enthusiasmforClinicalResearchisahallmarkofanypatientcentredprogressivehospital and I am both proud and honoured to be invited to introduce this programme and abstractsforthe2015ResearchSymposium. In the introduction to last years Symposium and Abstracts booklet I referenced the continuingdevelopmentofClinicalEducationandResearchinLGHdespitetheincredible challengeswehadfacedoverthepreviousmonths.Asthehospitalcontinuestorebuild itsfacilitiesandreinstateitsservicesthiscommitmenttoClinicalEducationandResearch remainsattheheartofourMission.InthelastnumberofweekstheHospitalNamehas beenrebranded to LetterkennyUniversityHospitalagain reinforcing this criticallink betweenhealthcareprovisionandclinicaleducationwhichiscriticaltoensuringquality effectivepatientcare.
