LSEE Newsletter Laurie Schoendorfer Edowven. sor Ee June 36,2021 Greetings from the Laurie Schoendorfer Endowment for Education (ISEB). We hope you and your family are well, You last heard from us in December 2020. We mentioned that Covid-19 brought at least one advantage to our scholars. Being wheelchair-bourd made it difficult to attend classes at schools. The virus closed traditional classrooms and forced schools to develop aniline internet classes, meaning our scholars could study at home. We currently have two graduates and seven active scholars. Both graduates live in Vietnam. 1.) We awarded Tiep $600 for a four-month course centered on Graphi Design. He earns $200 per month doing cantract work on the internet. This is $200 per month more than he was earning before our scholarship grant! 2.) We awarded Tham $1,200 to take an intense mentorship in making formal wedding clothes. Before we met her she Had a very low Income repairing torn clothing at home. She now has her own shop, employs four others, and teaches the skills of dressmaking. Tham's income is over $300 per month, We are thrilled to announce that we added Metanonfa Missions International to our parthet group. We will scom be awarding scholars to. Metanola's operation In Nicaragua.
