As the past winter dissipates from our minds, we are watching the days grow longer and wild flowers rise from the ground. LODGE NEWS Island Lake Lodge is pleased to announce the first annual – Untamed Kootenays Culinary Event. June 16-18. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in mountain culture with two full days that include two impressive dinners, along with an opportunity to explore the area on guided hikes, relax in the spa, and kick back on the patio with exclusive samplings from Fernie Brewing Co. and BC Wine Studio – the wine-makers behind the Lodge’s new house wines and bubbles. Spots are limited for this impressive event with 30 seats per dinner and 15 rooms for guests wishing to spend the weekend exploring the culinary offerings and scenic natural surroundings. Our Very Own Bubbles! Inspired by celebration and the natural elements that surround us, Bruin Brut has been custom blended for Island Lake Lodge. Whether it’s the best snow day, the most epic hike or a romantic getaway, these bubbles will elevate your favourite Lodge moments and memories. The Bruin Brut offers peach and pineapple aromas with subtle herbaceous notes, pleasant effervescence, and a nice crisp finish. New Collaborative Poster In a continuation of our series of collectible limited edition posters from Clawhammer Press, we are proud to announce a bike themed print. Inspired by the Lazy Lizard bike trail, only 100 of these posters will be printed. Iconic Photo Spots of Island Lake Last summer we began marking our iconic photo spots and started by identifying 12. This summer we are adding another 5 and will be having monthly photo contests for those who tag them! Click to see a map and read about the new spots.
