G.I. Gurdjieff, circa 1924 IsThere"Life" on Earth? An Introduction to Gurdjieff IS THERE "LIFE" ON EARTH is a series off our lectures, first delivered by J.G. Bennett at Denison House, London, on October 3, 10, 17 and 24, 1949, under the name "Gurdjieff-The Making of a New World." Lecture 2 (Chapter 2), "Gurdjieff-The Man and his Work," was rewritten by Bennett in 1973 to include an account taken from a biographical note prepared by some of Gurdjieffs older pupils at the request of his American publishers. The lectures have been otherwise revised only so that the tenses accurately reflect Gurdjieffs death, which occurred on October 29, 1949, a few days after the presentation of the final lecture.
