Her research interest includes leadership studies, Islamic education,andadultlearning.Shewasinvolvedinassistingmanyresearchprojects atNIEthatusequalitativeresearchmethods. Bee Leng Chua is a senior lecturer with the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She has conducted research in the areas of mediatedlearning,problem-basedlearning,motivation,andcognition.Inadditionto her work at the National Institute of Education, she also shares her expertise in subject disciplines such as educational studies and instructional pedagogies with schools and educators from other organizations and countries regularly. She is the president-elect of the World Educational Research Association, president of the Educational Research Association of Singapore, and vice president of the Interna- tionalAssociationofCognitiveEducationandPsychology.Sheisalsothemanaging editoroftheEducationalResearchforPolicyandPractice. ix x AbouttheAuthors PeiShanGoh holdsaBachelorofSocialScienceswithhonorsfromtheNational UniversityofSingaporeandhasbeenworkingasaresearchassistantattheNational Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, from 2020 to present. Herresearchinterestisineducation,particularlyinusingPositiveEmotion,Engage- ment, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (PERMA framework) to improve teaching outcomes. She is the recipient of the Pradap Kow scholarship andwillbestartingherMasterofArtsdegree(Research)inAugust2021. Leisa Hassock currently works as a manager (quality assurance) in the School of Business,HigherCollegesofTechnology,UnitedArabEmirates(UAE).Leisadoes research in employability, educational technology, curriculum theory, and adult education. Her current projects are “Approaches towards improving employability forbusinessgraduates,”“Criticalthinkinginhighereducation,”and“Plagiarismand howtoeducatetoreduceit.” SunnieYangHe a proficientinterdisciplinaryresearcher andlecturer, iscurrently teachingintheDepartmentofCulturalandCreativeArtsattheEducationUniversity of Hong Kong. Her research and publication focuses on the fields of tertiary arts education, arts entrepreneurship and management, curriculum development, and creativityinartseducation. Christopher Hill is a professor at the British University in Dubai. He is also an OBHEAssociate,fellowoftheHigherEducationAcademy,aSpecialistHongKong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and an adjunctresearcherfortheHigherEvaluationandAccreditationCouncilofTaiwan. Prof. Hill’s research interests include transnational education and its impact on national systems, the role of online learning, and the development of international educationandthestudentexperienceintheglobalarena. Alice Hsu graduated from National Chiayi University with a master’s degree in guidanceandcounselling.Shecurrentlyservesasacounsellingpsychologistatthe EducationBureau,TaichungCityGovernment,Taiwan,wheresheprovidesprofes- sional assistance to students from elementary to high school to help them manage theirproblems.Herexperienceworkingasaschoolguidancecounsellorataprivate middle school helped herrealize that shehad strong rapport withstudents and that shewouldliketocontinueworkingwithyoungpeople.Shehasbecomefascinated by the healing and curative effects of the artistic creation process, and it has strengthenedherinterestinartisticcreation.Currently,sheisattemptingtointegrate psychological counselling and artistic creation to form a diverse counselling environment. Amelia Huang is an educational officer teaching English language and general musicatasecondaryschoolinSingapore.Shestudiedpsychologyandmanagement atMonashUniversityandhashadexperienceasaresearchassistantinthePsycho- logical Services Branch, Ministry of Education.
