REGD NO D L-33004/99 The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 90] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JANUARY 25,2002/MAGHA5,1923 (1) 273 GI/2002 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART n—SEC. 3(ii)] 3 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (Roads Wing) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 25th Januaiy, 2002 S.0.109 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the National HighwayrAdtTT95^C^?of 1956), read with rules 3 & 9 of the National Highways (Fees for Use National Highways, Section and Permanent Bridge-Public Funded Projects) Rules, 1997, the Central Government hereby notifies that there shall be levied and paid fees on mechanical vehicles for the use of the Permanent Bridge across Waghadi Nalla on Nagpur- Hyderabad section of National Highways No.7 including approach roads on both sides at the rates specified in Schedule annexed hereto and hereby authorizes the Chief Engineer, P.W. Region, Nagpur or his authorised representative, to collect and retain fees at the rates specified in the said Schedule from 30lh January, 2002. SCHEDULE (Rates of fees to be recovered from users of the bridge) Sl.No. Particulars of vehicles Rates of fee to be charged per trip(Rs-) 1 Motor Cycle, Scooter or any other two-wheeler mechanically Nil propelled vehicle. 2 Motor Car, Taxi, Jeep, Pick-up Van, Station Wagon, Tempo, Auto 5.00 Rickshaw, Three-wheeler Scooter or other auto-driven light vehicles with or without trailer. 3 Bus, Truck and other heavy vehicles including truck trailer 15.00 combination laden with goods or passengers or Unladen 4 Other mechanically propelled vehicles not mentioned above like 20.00 mobile crane, dozers, earth movers, road roller etc. loaded or unloaded NOTE; When the same vehicle has to cross the bridge more than once in a day, the user shall have the option to pay one and a half times the rates specified in the Schedule above while crossing the bridge in the first trip itself, or if the vehicle has to use the bridge J THE GAZK1TH OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY (PARTH—SEc.3(ii)] continuously and quite frequently for the entire month or even beyond that, for much longer period, the vehicle owner can have a monthly pass on the payment of charges equal to 30 single rates. 2. The following types of vehicles are exempted from the feeSjnamely:-. (i) Defence vehicles; (U) Vehicles with VIP symbols; (iii) Police Vehicles; (iv) Fire Fighting Vehicles; (v) Ambulances; (vi) Funeral Vans; (vii) Post and Telegraph Department vehicles and; (viii) Central and State Government vehicles; 3. The vehicles officially belonging to the following shall be deemed to be vehicles having VIP symbols,namely> i. President of India; ii. Vice-president of India; iii. Central and State Minister; iv. Leaders of Opposition in Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha, State Legislatures having the status of Cabinet Minister; V. Governors of States; vi. Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories; vii. Speakers or Chairmen of Central and State Legislatures; vjii. Executive Councilors of Local Elected Bodies; ix. Foreign dignitaries on State visit to India; X. Foreign Diplomats stationed in India using cars with CD(Car Diplomatic) symbols; xi. Member of Parliament; xii. Members of State Assemblies/Legislative Councils of Maharashtra State; 4. The above mentioned rates shall be displayed on a board erected at conspicuous places in the vicinity of the bridge, both legibly written or printed in English, Hindi and the regional language of the area in which the permanent bridge is situated. Every driver, owner or person in charge of the mechanical vehicles shall, before crossing the permanent bridge or after having cross it, stop his vehicle at the cross bar and pay the fee leviable in respect of the vehicles at the fee collection booth. The person authorised by the Chief Engineer, P.W. Region, Nagpur to collect fee in respect of any mechanical vehicle crossing the bridge shall in return, prepare a receipt in duplicate in Form'A' and hand over one copy of the receipt to the driver or owner or person in charge of the mechanical vehicle.
