Coaching Staff GWYN YOUNG Athletic Director Women's Basketball And Softball Coach Servingthecollege asathleticdirectorsince 1989, Gwyn Young has been head coach ofthe LadyWolves basketball team for 17years. Since coming to Co-Lin, he has seen his teamwintitleaftertitleandhascompiledarecordof299wins and 110 losses. The LadyWolvescapturedthesouthdivisiontournament title in 1984, 1985, 1986, 1990 and 1991. South division regular season crowns have been won nine different times including 1976, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992. Young was named Region 23Coach oftheYear in 1989 when histeamwonthe region championshipandwentonto place fourth in the National Junior College AthleticAssocia- tion Tournament. Young has been named a Clarion-Ledger Coach ofthe YearforJuniorColleges, and he has coached the Mississippi JuniorCollege All-StarGame three years. Young is also employed at Co-Lin as a mathematics instructor. Before coming to the college, he coached at Brookhaven High School. He holds an associate of arts degree from Copiah-Lincoln, a bachelor's degree from Mis- sissippiCollege,andamaster'sdegreefromtheUniversityof Southern Mississippi. Young and hiswife,Velesta, havetwochildren, Lane, 16, and Jessica, 13. RANDALL BRADBERRY Head Football Coach InhisthirdyearasheadcoachoftheWolves, Randall Bradberryhascompiled atotalof 19years ofcoachingexperience.Fortwoyears,hewasaWolfpackassistant,servingasoffensivecoordinator. He also coached at East Mississippi Community College for 12 years. A member of the Co-Lin coaching staff in 1989whentheWolvescapturedthe south divisiontitle, he led theteam in 1990to the same crown. Bradberryservesthecollegeasdirectorofinstitutional research. He holds abachelorofscience and master of education degree from Delta State University, and he completed his educational doctorate at Mississippi State University. Bradberry has three children, son, Bo, age 10, and twin daughters, Libby and Laurie, age 5. BOB RICKETTS I Assistant Football Coach Bob Ricketts has worked with the offensive line for four years, and he served as offensive coordinatorfrom 1985through 1988. With a Co-Lin coaching record of 54-23-1, Ricketts has seen theWolveswinthe south division in 1986, 1989, and 1990, plusseeing theteam capturethe state, region, and East Bowl championships in 1985. In 1975, Ricketts was named NCAA Division II Southern Baseball Coach of the Year as head coachatSoutheasternLouisianaUniversity.RickettswasalsoSLU'soffensivecoordinator. Heholds abachelorofartsdegreefromSLU and amasterofsciencedegreefromthe UniversityofSouthern Mississippi. RickettsismarriedtotheformerShirleyAllen,andtheyhavethreechildren,SusanTrahan, Bobby Ricketts,Jr., andJim Ricketts. Rickettsisthe proudgrandfatherofThomasAlexanderTrahan, born in July, 1991. Coaching Staff ALTON GREENLEE Assistant Football And Golf Coach A Copiah-Lincoln employee for 29 years, Alton Greenlee currently serves as defensive back coachfortheWolfpack. Henotonlyworkswiththefootballteam, butalsocoachesthecollege'sgolf team. Greenlee is managerofthe Co-Lin golfcourse, and he teaches social science and physical education. Beforejoining the Co-Lin staff, Greenlee was employed at West Tallahatchie High School and GulfportEastHighSchool. Heearnedhisbachelorofscienceandmasterofeducationdegreesfrom Mississippi College. / Greenlee is married to Christine Greenlee, and they have one son, Jeff. CHARLES SUTTON Assistant Football Coach Fornineyears,widereceivercoachCharlesSutton hasbeen providing leadershipasamember oftheWolvescoaching staff.While associatedwiththeWolfpack, he has seentheWolvescapture the state title in 1985, and has seen theteam capture the south division crown in 1986, 1989, and 1990. Suttonservedasassistanttrackcoachin1987,whentheteamwonthestatetitle.Healsocurrently serves as counselorforthe college's Upward Bound program, a position he has held for 1 years. Before joining the Co-Lin staff, Sutton worked as a classroom teacher and counselor in the Lawrence County School System. He earned his bachelor of science degree from Alcorn State University, and he has done additional work atJackson State University. Sutton and his wife, Evelyn, havetwo sons, Victor, 19, and Renard, 14. BROOME PHILLIP Assistant Football Coach In hissecondyearasafull-timeassistantfortheWolves, Phillip Broome previouslyworkedwith theteamfortwoyearsasavolunteer. Hewasamemberofthecoachingstaffin1989and1990when the Wolves were south champs. Broomealso isemployed asscienceteacher. Forthreeyears, hewas employed at Brookhaven High School as an instructor and coach before becoming a Co-Lin staff member. He earned his bachelorof science and master of science degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. «TPi HeismarriedtotheformerCynthiaBatson,andtheyhavetwosons,Tyler,age5,andCaleb,age r' 10 mos. CURTIS HOBBS Assistant Football Coach WidereceivercoachCurtisHobbshasbeenworkingwiththeWolfpackforfouryears. Hobbshas seentheteamcapturethe 1989and 1990southdivisionchampionshipsduring hisassociationwith the team. He has compiled a Co-Lin record of 32-19-2. HobbsearnedhisassociateofartsdegreefromCo-Linandheworkswithcollegesecurity. Hewas employed byT. L. James Construction before coming to Co-Lin. Hobbs and hiswife, Gloria, have one son, Curtis Alonzo, age 2V2. 4 PAUL JOHNSON Men's Basketball Coach In hisfifthyearas headcoachoftheWolvesbasketballteam, PaulJohnson hascompiled aCo- Linrecordof66wins,44losses. In1989,Johnson'steamwonthestatecommunitycollegetitle,while alsoclaimingthesouthdivisionregularseasonchampionshipandplacingasRegion23runners-up. Johnson also isemployed bythe college asa physical education and firstaid instructor. During the 1986-87 school year, he served as an assistant basketball coach. His former employment includes coaching positions at Prentiss High School, the University of Texas, EastTennesseeStateUniversity, and South Natchez High School. Heearnedan associate of arts degree from Jones County Junior College, a bachelor of science degree from Belhaven College, and amasterofsciencedegreefromthe UniversityofSouthern Mississippi. Johnson has done additional work atthe University ofTexas. HeismarriedtotheformerMary MillerofMt.Olive,andtheyhavetwodaughters, Maggie,8,and Anna, 6. KEITH CASE Baseball Coach Keith Casejoined thecoaching staffin 1992-93as head baseballcoach. He holds a bachelorof sciencein physicaleducation and aminorin mathematicsfrom MississippiState University, earned in 1983. HereceivedhismasterofeducationdegreefromWilliamCareyCollegein 1991 and hehas additional work from Mississippi College and the University of Southern Mississippi. After a successful high school baseball coaching career, hewas named the 1992 Mississippi High Schoo All-StarCoach. CaseisanativeofMonticelloandgraduatedfromtherein 1979. Heandhiswife,the former Susan Caffey, are parents of one daughter, Macie, 1. MIKE MclNTYRE Tennis Coach A 10-3 dual match record in 1992 pushed Coach Mike Mclntyre's 14-season win-loss record to 210-21. Inthespringof1991,though,theWolvestennisteamcamewithinasinglepointofcapturing anunprecedentedthirdconsecutivestate/regionalchampionship,finishingasrunner-up. Mclntyre's squad also extended its state-record unbeaten string to 68 dual match wins (over four seasons), beforesufferingitsonlylossthatApril.TheWolvesfinished 18-1 fortheseasonenroutetotheirsixth trip to the NJCAA nationals in Texas. A USPTR-certified teaching professional, Mclntyre has been named "Coach of the Year" four timesand has seen hisWolveswinfivestateandfourregionaltitles, plus 16otherteam honors. He has had fiveteams ranked in the national "top 20." The 1990team is still the only Mississippi team to everfinish in the "top 10" atthe NJCAA nationals. Mclntyre also serves as business division chairman and teaches economics. He earned his associate of arts degreefrom Copiah-Lincoln, and his bachelorof science and masterof business administration degreesfromthe UniversityofSouthern Mississippi. He hasdone additionalworkat USM, Mississippi College, Memphis State University, University of Utah, University of South Carolina, University of Texas-Arlington, and Dennis Van der Meer's Tennis University. Mclntyre is married to the former Diane Payne, and they have one son, Michael, Jr., 12.
