H i E g G R ^ O E G m 5 vQbqg; A message from the Secretary Large and small, public and private, the colleges and universities of Illinois are a source of enormous pride for our state. Individually, these diverse institutions are centers of research, learning, culture and athletics that expand the horizons of com¬ munities and entire regions of Illinois. Collectively, they serve as our brightest hope for solving the problems of today and meeting the challenges of tomorrow. With that in mind, it is an honor for me to recognize Illinois colleges and universi¬ ties — their students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters — by issuing a new series of collegiate license plates. This program, in addition to providing important recognition, also creates a new and unique source of financial aid for college stu¬ dents in Illinois. I urge you to join me in giving it "the old college try." Support the university of your choice by putting a set of collegiate plates on your passenger car or B-truck. It's a great way to let people know you are part of the team. And it's a great way to support one of the nation's finest systems of higher education. George H. Ryan Secretary of State License Plate Facts: Issued to any Illinois resident who requests collegiate license plates.
