While the Autobiographical Reflections is a com- pellingaccountinitsownright,thepointershelpfillindetails— especially in publications completed after this text, which dates from1973.Asimilarapproachwastakeninthefinalpreparation of the glossary, compiled by Eugene Webb from several sources andsupplementedbytheeditor.Whilemakingnopretenseofbe- ing a complete vocabulary of Voegelin’s technical terminology— himselfanaccomplishedpolyglotoperatinginmorethanadozen languages,Voegelin’svocabularyissometimesregardedasastum- bling block to comprehension.
