YournewNMCandperipheralsensorsshouldbeinstalledonlybyan FAA certified facility. Each installation is unique, and there are severalvariablesandcautionsthataninstallermustdealwithforyou togetthemaximumbenefitfromyourApolloNMS. ImportantNotice TheGlobalPositioningSystem(GPS)isoperatedbytheUnitedStatesDepartmentofDefense whichissolelyresponsiblefortheaccuracy,dailyoperation,andmaintenanceofthesatellite constellation.SystemaccuracyisaffectedbytheDepartmentofDefense’sSelectiveAvailability (SA)andtheDilutionofPrecision(DOP)attributedtopoorsatellitegeometry. DuetoimplementationofSelectiveAvailabilitybytheUnitedStatesDepartmentofDefense(DoD), allGPSreceiversmaysufferdegradationofpositionaccuracy.TheDoDhasstatedthat95%ofthe timehorizontalaccuracywillnotbedegradedmorethan100mand99.9%ofthetimeaccuracywill notbedegradedmorethan300m. InstallationsofTSOC-129aauthorizedGPSNavigationManagementSystems(NMS)maybe approvedforsupplementalnavigationonly.TheNMSmaybeusedastheprimarynavigationdata display,however,othermeansofnavigationappropriatetotheintendedrouteofflightmustbe installedandoperational.Itisnotrequiredthattheseothersystemsbemonitored. FCCNotice ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice, pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotection against harmful interference during residential use. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:(1)thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevicemustacceptany interferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesiredoperation.Thisequipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthis equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determinedbyturningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrectthe interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures: (cid:1) Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna. (cid:1) Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver. (cid:1) Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthe receiverisconnected. (cid:1) Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp. ChangesormodificationstothisequipmentnotexpresslyapprovedbyIIMorrowInc.couldvoidthe user’sauthoritytooperatethisequipment.
