WHO World Health Organisation. IX Abstract Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA), the most common type of anaemia in worldwide. Developing countries like India, where lack of health education, malnutrition affect a large segment of population which includes children, adolescent girls and women are prone for iron deficiency anaemia. This dissertation entitled “The Repertorial Approach In The Management of Iron deficiency anaemia” is a research work for M.D. dissertation taken with aim to study the clinical presentation of iron deficiency anaemia and study the repertorial approach in the management of iron deficiency anaemia. 76 clinically confirmed out-patients who visited Dr. B. D. Jatti. Homoeopathic medical College and Hospital Dharwad and rural out patients were randomly taken during this study. Iron deficiency anaemia was defined as haemoglobin level less than 11gm%. All 76 cases were initially advised with plenty of nutritional supplement with placebo for first 15 days interval and later treated with Homoeopathic constitutional medicine as a similimum with fixed criteria to know the results of treatment. At the end of the study it was observed that, out of 76 cases which were selected as per sampling size were recorded with a holistic concept by giving special impotence to the presenting complaints, past history, family history, and personal history as well as general examination. Out of 76 cases, 35 cases (46.05 %) have recovered, 29 cases (38.16 %) shows improvement and 12 cases (15.79 %) not improved. Thus “The Repertorial Approach in the Management of Iron deficiency anaemia” is efficacious and encouraging and needs further study. Key words: - ID: Iron deficiency. IDA: Iron deficiency anaemia. X
