Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering Benoit Eynard Vincenzo Nigrelli Salvatore Massimo Oliveri Guillermo Peris-Fajarnes Sergio Rizzuti E ditors Advances on Mechanics, Design Engineering and Manufacturing Proceedings of the International Joint Conference on Mechanics, Design Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing (JCM 2016), 14–16 September, 2016, Catania, Italy Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering About this Series Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering (LNME) publishes the latest developments in Mechanical Engineering—quickly, informally and with high quality. Original research reported in proceedings and post-proceedings represents the core of LNME. Also considered for publication are monographs, contributed volumes and lecture notes of exceptionally high quality and interest. Volumes published in LNME embrace all aspects, subfields and new challenges of mechanical engineering. Topics in the series include: (cid:129) Engineering Design (cid:129) Machinery and Machine Elements (cid:129) Mechanical Structures and Stress Analysis (cid:129) Automotive Engineering (cid:129) Engine Technology (cid:129) Aerospace Technology and Astronautics (cid:129) Nanotechnology and Microengineering (cid:129) Control, Robotics, Mechatronics (cid:129) MEMS (cid:129) Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (cid:129) Dynamical Systems, Control (cid:129) Fluid Mechanics (cid:129) Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer (cid:129) Manufacturing (cid:129) Precision Engineering, Instrumentation, Measurement (cid:129) Materials Engineering (cid:129) Tribology and Surface Technology More information about this series at http://www.springer.com/series/11236 Benoit Eynard Vincenzo Nigrelli (cid:129) Salvatore Massimo Oliveri Guillermo Peris-Fajarnes Sergio Rizzuti Editors Advances on Mechanics, Design Engineering and Manufacturing Proceedings of the International Joint Conference on Mechanics, Design Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing – (JCM 2016), 14 16 September, 2016, Catania, Italy Organizing Scientific Associations: AIP-PRIMECA—Ateliers Inter-établissements de Productique—Pôles de Resources Informatiques pour la MECAnique—France ADM—Associazione nazionale Disegno e Metodi dell’ingegneria industriale—Italy INGEGRAF—Asociación Española de Ingeniería Gráfica—Spain 123 Editors Benoit Eynard Guillermo Peris-Fajarnes UniversitédeTechnologie deCompiègne Universidad Politecnica deValencia Compiègne Valencia France Spain Vincenzo Nigrelli SergioRizzuti Dipartimento di IngegneriaChimica, Dipartimento di IngegneriaMeccanica, Gestionale,Informatica, Meccanica EnergeticaeGestionale Universitàdegli Studi diPalermo Universitàdella Calabria Palermo Rende,Cosenza Italy Italy SalvatoreMassimo Oliveri Dipartimento di IngegneriaElettrica, Elettronica eInformatica (DIEEI) Universitàdegli Studi diCatania Catania Italy ISSN 2195-4356 ISSN 2195-4364 (electronic) Lecture Notesin MechanicalEngineering ISBN978-3-319-45780-2 ISBN978-3-319-45781-9 (eBook) DOI 10.1007/978-3-319-45781-9 LibraryofCongressControlNumber:2016950391 ©SpringerInternationalPublishingAG2017 Thisworkissubjecttocopyright.AllrightsarereservedbythePublisher, whetherthewholeorpart of the material is concerned, specifically the rights of translation, reprinting, reuse of illustrations, recitation, broadcasting, reproduction on microfilms or in any other physical way, and transmission or information storage and retrieval, electronic adaptation, computer software, or by similar or dissimilarmethodologynowknownorhereafterdeveloped. JCM 2016 has been organized by Rapid Prototyping and Geometric Modelling Laboratory of the University of Catania (IT)—Department of Electronic, Electric and Informatics Engineering (DIEEI). JCM 2016 has gathered researchers, industry experts in the domain of “Interactive and Integrated Design and Manufacturing for Innovation” to dissemi- natetheirmajorandrecentresults, studies, implementations, toolsandtechniquesat an international level. The overall number of authors involved has been 404. JCM 2016 attracted 138 abstract submissions that became 135 papers. Due to a peer-review process, 123 papers have been selected and accepted for presentation at conference, as podium or poster session. The precious reviewing work has been possible because 111 persons have been involved in the process, which has been coordinated by 24 track chairs, providing not less than two reviews per paper, for a total of 381 reviews. The book is organized in several parts, each one corresponding to the tracks oftheConference.Eachpartisbrieflyintroducedbythetrackchairs, thatfollowed the review process.
