Itisrelatedtop.ca11eides (BATES),butdiffersfromitmainlyinthecolorationandtheshapeofpronotum. Paranchodemus(HABU, 1978)waserectedasasubgenusofthegenusAnchodemus for A. ca11eldes BATES (1883, p 256). Later, LIEBHEER (1989) studied the type specimen,mainlythefemalegenitaliaandregardedHABU'ssubgenusasan independent genus. At thesametime, headdedonenewspecies fromChina. In1998,MoRvANerectedthegenusKeriserzh foraTibetanspecies,K thibetanus, and added its new subspecies, K t. sichuanensis. However, thisgenus wasa junior synonymof thegenusParanchodemus (BoUsQUET, 2003). Up to thepresent, three speciesandonesubspeciesofthegenusParanchodemushavebeenknownfromEastAsia (BOUSQUET,2003). Inthispaper,wearegoingtodescribeanewspeciesasafourthrepresentativeof thegenus. Bodyofmoderatesize;dorsalsideusuallywithbrilliantbluelustre;sides ofpronotumweaklyarcuateinfront,andconvergentposteriadorweaklysinuatebefore hindangles;basalpart ofelytrawide. Description. L:8.71-11.43mm. Bodyofmoderatesize,black;headandpronotum withgreenish,purplishorbrilliantbluishlustre; elytrawithbrilliantbluishorgreenish lustre, rarelywithpurplish lustre;ventralsideblack withweak bluish lustre; coxae blackishbrown;appendagesblack. Head moderately convex; eyes large and convex; frontal furrows deep, almost parallel fromclypea1setatoclypea1suture,andthendivergentposteriadandreaching thelevelofbasal5/6ofeye;microsculpturenotsharplyimpressedthoughconsistingof isodiametricmeshes;genaeoblique;mentumtoothwideandweaklybifidatthetip;apex of labrumweaklytomoderatelyemarginate; antennaefiliform, reachingthemiddleof elytraoralittlebeforethat level; relativelengthsofantennalsegmentsas follows: - I : II: III : IV: V:VI : XI ≒1: 0.63: 1.64: 1.47: 1.41:1.27: 1.08.
