ItiscloselyrelatedtoGst1-1atusS.UENo,butisreadilyrecognizedonitselongate elytra with less prominent humeral angles. It usually coexists with Z1/1jlnap/1ae,lops, thoughevidentlylessdifferentiatedthanthemembersofthelattergenus. Describinganaphaenopsoidtrechinegenuswiththreespecies fromZhijinXian inwesternGuizhou, wehavenoticed that themembers of this remarkablegenus, namedZhjjinaphaenops, usuallyoccur incoexistencewithaGuizhaphaenopsinthe samelimitedhabitats, andthattheformerbecamemoreprofoundlydifferentiatedthan thelatterwhichcouldberegardedasalater immigrant (cf.UENo &RAN,2002,pp. 47-48,etc.).WearegoingtodescribethenewGuizhaphaenopsinthepresentpaper underthenameofG.(s.str)zhijlnensis.
