An integralcomponent ofinformationwarfare isthe continuing developmentofjointspacedoctrine. TheJoint Warfare System (JWARS) is a large scale, systemic simulation being developedbytheJoint Warfare Systems Officetoaid intheevaluation offuturejoint doctrineandforcestructure. Thepurposeofthisthesis istodevelop and demonstrateSimulation ofSatelliteCommunications (SIMSATCOM), ahighresolution, stochastic simulation ofsatellite communications for evaluatingtheeffectivenessofmessagetransmission andreceiptbyspecifiedsendersandreceivers. SIMSATCOM isdesignedtooperateas a stand-alonesimulation, butmaybeadoptedasahigh resolutionmodulefor a largescalesimulation such asJWARS.
